Introduction:
We partnered with Venus Water Heaters to drive operational excellence through structured Lean implementation. The focus was on building strong fundamentals on the shopfloor while enabling the team to take ownership of continuous improvement initiatives.
Project Description:
The engagement spanned one year, focusing on implementing 5S across all zones, driving Kaizen for cost reduction, and improving inventory management. The approach combined hands-on implementation with team involvement, ensuring that improvements were practical, measurable, and embedded into daily operations.
Results:
The project delivered significant and measurable outcomes. Work-in-progress (WIP) inventory was reduced from 24,000 units to 7,000 units, improving flow and freeing up working capital. 5S was successfully implemented across all zones, creating a more organized and efficient workplace. The team implemented over 113 Kaizens, resulting in cost savings of ₹53 lakhs. Most importantly, the foundation for sustained continuous improvement was established within the organization.
